Concise Bio

Jody Soltau Mountain is a dancer, choreographer and teacher with 25 years experience in various forms of movement dynamics and healing modalities. Since 1989, she has been studying, practicing and teaching the ancient art of Lomi Lomi Nui and it's foundations in Ancient Hawaiian Wisdom. Jody has studied with Kahu Abraham Kawa'i, Aua'ia, Maka'i'ole, Uliama and brings forward the teaching of this lineage. Jody also practices and facilitates Core & Cellular Healing through transmissions of High Healing Consciousnesses and Frequencies. She is a licensed massage therapist and teacher in the state of Hawai'i, and has dedicated her life to sharing the depth and vibrancy of this profound work with others as a vehicle for awakened consciousness.

Jody has taken this Life-Changing work to Japan, Canada, the USA, Spain and Ireland, and continues to offer Trainings, Retreats and Sessions.

Lomi Lomi Nui

Jody Kealoha Mountain was born in Kingston, Jamaica - growing up barefoot with a deep connection to the land. Her lineage consists of Japanese, South American Indian, Arawak Indian, Jewish, African, Welsh, French (Huguenot), Irish and Scottish.....to mention a few! Her early experiences in nature were the birthing of a profound respect for Life in all it's forms.

Jody's studies and career led her into the field of dance and choreography. Always fascinated by the body - it's vibrancy, potential and ability to heal itself - Jody soon became interested in the study of massage. In 1989, she was introduced to Ancient Hawaiian Lomilomi. This event became a pivotal moment. The recognition of this powerful work led to intensive study over the next two years, and has been her primary focus ever since. Finally making her way to Hawai'i, Jody had the privilege of studying with Kahuna Abraham Kawai'i, Aua'ia Maka'iole, 'uliama, a Master in 9 different fields, a Kahuna Nui. She has since completed numerous trainings and continues to practice, teach and evolve in the sacred way of this ancient tradition. She was given the name 'Kealoha', (meaning'The Love', or 'Beloved'), by Kahu in 2003. Jody has studied Hawaiian Chant with Charles Ka'upu, Kapono'ai Molitau and Keli'i Tau'a.

Other massage modalities she has studied include: myofascial release, deep tissue, thai massage, cranio-sacral neuromuscular therapy and sports massage, among others. Jody is in private practice at Northshore Chiropractic and Massage in Pa'ia, Maui. She is a licenced Massage Therapist and Instructor in the State of Hawai'i, and a Professional Member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Jody has been practicing Lomi Lomi Nui since 1994, and has traveled to Japan, Ireland, Canada and the mainland United States with this work. She is a qualified workshop leader and has been teaching since 1997. Her passion is sharing the depth and vibrancy of this profound work with others as a vehicle for awakened consciousness, and has dedicated her life to this.

Core & Cellular Healing

Jody's life path has been one of personal and spiritual development always integrated with the vital essence in the body. She grew up having shamanic experiences from the age of 13. Not knowing what to make of them, Jody was led on a path of perpetual discovery and exploration, experiencing a wide range of healing practices and modalities. In 1999 she experienced a powerful physical and energetic transmission of Light, Energy, Vibration and Resonance which was extremely challenging for her physical body. Her electrical, nervous, and circulatory systems were on 'overload' due to the new frequencies of Light and Energy pouring thorough. In Kahu's words, It was an experience of being "thrown against the gates of creation — call it what you may, Samadhi, Nirvana, Touch of the "Holy Spirit".

For one full month, her Hawaiian teacher, Kahu Abraham, worked with Jody daily, in a private training, to upgrade her system and integrate the powerful transmission that was opening to her. Ever since this experience, Jody has found herself to be Clairaudient, and has been able to receive and transmit high frequencies of Light and Healing energy. These abilities were amplified within and throughout her physical body. For the next 11 years, Jody worked with this new energy, expanding the pathways through her system with bodywork, breath, martial art and further guidance.

She has since experienced numerous Transmissions and openings to the Ancient Wisdom, Light, Information and Healing of Ireland, Israel, Turkey and Hawai'i. Through this work, ancestral wisdom from Jody's many lineages has revealed itself in the form of further Energetic Transmissions, Clairsentience (spontaneous 'knowing') and Cellular Awakening.

Jody's purpose and passion now, is to pass on this profound opening to Spirit, and transformation of consciousness, to assist others in fully realizing their own unique and beautiful expression of the Light • Source • Love, that permeates everything.

Since 2010, she has been offering private sessions and group workshops in Core & Cellular Healing — a transformational process founded in guidance from the Heart of Our Creator, The Heart of the Source. Core & Cellular Healing is also a modern form of the ancient Hawaiian practice of Ho'oponopono — facilitating the rapid and permanent healing of trauma, discord, patterning and blockages on all levels through a powerful transmission and living prayer, affecting body, mind and spirit.

Both Lomi Lomi Nui and Core & Cellular Healing serve to expand our capacity for Light, Healing, Compassion, Harmony and Love in every area of our lives. These experiences open us on cellular and energetic levels to a deeper connection with Source in ourselves, each other, and with all of humanity.

Dance Background

Jody has been dancing since the age of 4, beginning with Jamaican Folk Dance and Ballet. She went on to study Russian ballet, jazz and modern, eventually specializing in the challenging technique of 'Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal'. Jody attended York University in Toronto, leaving with a BFA in Theatre Performance. After college, she worked in the Toronto theatre scene, choreographing for a number of theatre and production companies including Crow's Theatre and Venus Productions.

In 1985, she began choreographing for the concert stage and collaborated with DanceWorks to create 'Culture Shock' a show blending Modern and Caribbean dance. 'Culture Shock played to rave reviews and was held over at the Toronto Dance Theatre. Her politically stimulating piece, 'Let Freedom Ring' was a nine part episodic work created in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In Hawai'i, Jody was an original cast member of the award winning show, 'Ulalena at Lahaina's Maui Theater.  She performed the featured role of Taro for 4.5 years.  The Kalo (or Taro plant) was considered an original blood realtive of the Hawaiian people, which sustained them for hundreds of years.  This beautiful and authentically produced show is still running in Lahaina Town, and is well worth experiencing!
